It’s not often that you see someone being jumped. It’s even less often that you see someone being jumped who appears to be enjoying the experience. But that seems to be what happened in a recent video posted to r/PublicFreakout, which was taken on Austin, Texas’ famous 6th Street.

The video shows three women repeatedly kicking and hitting a man. One of the women, who’s wearing a T-shirt from the thrash band Municipal Waste, throws a leftover food container in his face. Another keeps asking him “Are you crazy?” while the others strike him. Throughout all of this, he appears to maintain a grin, even coming back to the group after the fight breaks up.

Now, we have no idea what happened here. What we do know is that this was taken from a Twitter account and YouTube channel called TX Street Fights, which hosts a collection of, you guessed it, street fights in Texas.

Naturally, the comment sections across all platforms were filled with keyboard warriors saying how they would have handled the situation better than the man in question. There was also plenty of talk about “what if the roles were reversed” and all of that business. A few commenters pointed out that he made a crucial mistake, or as one redditor put it, “Dude should have never got into it with women when he has long hair.”

What seems to be missing in all this conversation is the fact that the dude appeared to, by the end, have had a decent time. Now, I’m sure he’s not *thrilled* about the experience. Plus, due to a lack of context, we don’t know if this was a random strike or if this was a provoked fight — none of the visible group is intervening on his side, which isn’t a great sign.

But again, the whole thing left a smile on his face. And there are a lot worse outcomes than that.
